New Account!

1 min read
I'm making a new account,mainly because I'm never going to be able to save up enough to buy a premium membership and change my account name,but also so that i can start fresh with the art I upload,in alot of cases it isn't the highests quality,and I'm looking to change that,That said,I will keep this account open for the purposes of keeping track of how long ive been on DA,and to keep all my old art without re-uploading,see you on my new account!

Edit;New account is   connorthecarguy.deviantart.com…

    When it comes to cars when you're in high school,there are generaly 5 types of people;

    1.Those who know NOTHING about cars;
People in this category are your average person who knows absolutly nothing about cars,for example,the other day a girl came into class proudly telling everyone that she had recived a car for her birthday,I asked her what kind of car it was and she said,"Um,...a blue one."

    2.Those who know about cars,but customize theirs in idiotic fashions:
Example;There is a guy at my school who owns a black 90's VW Jetta that is slammed (1"-2" off the ground) has pastel green rims on it,is straight piped,and has the front bumper cover removed and a massive intercooler instead.

    3.Those who drive 4x4 trucks:
(this may only apply in Tennessee)
Guys who drive 4x4 pickup trucks lifted far enough to walk under without ducking that are perpetually plastered with mud and tree branches,and they're usually parked up on the curbs (by the way,my parking space is between two of these monsters and my truck looks like a clown car next to them)

    4.People who know little to nothing about cars but try to act like they do:
These are the people who barely know what brand their car is but still try to carry on a conversation about cars;they will overhear somebody talking about cars and join in the conversation with a line like "When we got my car my dad had to change the oil "or something to that effect.

    5.People who know and care about cars:
(by far the rarest in a public high school)
People who at a moment's notice can tell you the make,model,year,engine,transmission,and basic history of their vehical.

Let me know if you think I missed any or got any wrong.

Motor Options

   Well,I've done some browsing on the internet and I've discovered some performance upgrades for the lowly little 2.5 liter four cylinder in my truck.
Apparently you can swap in a crank shaft from the marine version of this engine,forged pistons from a pontiac 301 V8,and aftermarket forged rods from a small block chevy V8 to turn it into a 3-Liter.On top of this (literally) there are two aftermarket head options;a better flowing Super Duty (Pontiac) head,or the more mental option of a Cosworth twin cam 16 valve head.Now we move on to intakes,there's a Super Duty intake available which provides mounting for a 4-barrel carburetor,or Edelbrock makes an aftermarket intake that facilitates 2 four barrel carburetors. Finaly ,there are two header options, modifying a chevy 350 header to fit,or getting a Super Duty header.

Update #2

1 min read
It's been a little while since my last update because of school and more recently trying to get the DMV to cooperate(oh yeah,I finaly got my license!)

As far as my truck is concerned,it has now become my daily driver and I have done some work on it(3 days after I started driving it the radiator started leaking which has since been replaced)and I've also done some paint work on it(pics coming soon)

Concerning artwork(or lack there of) it's on it's way,I've just been busy.I found a swap shop specializing in antiques and just old stuff in my area so now I have more cool stuff to photograph,and Im still going to be using my cell phone (Pantech Link) for alot of pictures because nine times out of ten its the most readily available camera I have,but I will try to improve my art's quality from now on(because it just occured to me the consistently poor quality of my photos,which is mostly due to the phone camera,because I do try)It just depends on whether I can find a better camera or not.

Update

Sorry it's been awhile since I've done anything.The main reason is that my grandmother died over fall break and she had a reverse mortgage on her house so we have been working on getting it cleaned out,she had all this cool 50's and 60's stuff in mint condition,usually with paperwork,so I will be posting some of that on here eventually.
 As far as my truck goes,I drove it up to my grandmother's(other grandmother) house for fall break and I took the go kart with me.While I was there I drove the go kart ALOT and took my grandmother for a ride in my truck,she doesn't like riding in it. At the end of the week the go kart was BADLY broken (and still is) and for some reason my truck had peed on the garage floor,it's been leak free since so I have no clue.
 Thats about it for now,feedback appreciated.
