When it comes to cars when you're in high school,there are generaly 5 types of people;
1.Those who know NOTHING about cars;
People in this category are your average person who knows absolutly nothing about cars,for example,the other day a girl came into class proudly telling everyone that she had recived a car for her birthday,I asked her what kind of car it was and she said,"Um,...a blue one."
2.Those who know about cars,but customize theirs in idiotic fashions:
Example;There is a guy at my school who owns a black 90's VW Jetta that is slammed (1"-2" off the ground) has pastel green rims on it,is straight piped,and has the front bumper cover removed and a massive intercooler instead.
3.Those who drive 4x4 trucks:
(this may only apply in Tennessee)
Guys who drive 4x4 pickup trucks lifted far enough to walk under without ducking that are perpetually plastered with mud and tree branches,and they're usually parked up on the curbs (by the way,my parking space is between two of these monsters and my truck looks like a clown car next to them)
4.People who know little to nothing about cars but try to act like they do:
These are the people who barely know what brand their car is but still try to carry on a conversation about cars;they will overhear somebody talking about cars and join in the conversation with a line like "When we got my car my dad had to change the oil "or something to that effect.
5.People who know and care about cars:
(by far the rarest in a public high school)
People who at a moment's notice can tell you the make,model,year,engine,transmission,and basic history of their vehical.
Let me know if you think I missed any or got any wrong.
